You can use your GFI Software – like the famous FaxMaker – to send SMS with LOX24. All you have to do is to register for an LOX24 account and change the SMS settings in your software.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/h2>\n

1. You must be subscribed to LOX24
\n2. Your SMTP server configured in the settings must be able to send e-mails
\n3. You need access to the internet<\/p>\n

Settings<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. From GFI FaxMaker Configuration, right-click SMS and select Properties.<\/li>\n
  2. In General tab, select Enable SMS Gateway.<\/li>\n
  3. Select Generic SMS<\/span> service provider template<\/b> and configure the following settings<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If you are using the GFI NetworkServerMonitor:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Right click on the \u2018Alerting Options\u2019 node and select \u2018Properties\u2019.<\/li>\n
    2. Click on the \u2018SMS\u2019 tab and from the SMS System dropdown,<\/li>\n
    3. Select \u2018Generic SMS service provider template\u00a0and configure the following settings<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Sending SMS with the GFI FaxMaker and LOX24<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

      SMTP-Server:<\/strong>\u00a0Specify your own mail server or the mail server of your\u00a0service provider. You can use the same mail server which you are using to send your normal mails.<\/p>\n

      SMTP-Port:\u00a0<\/strong>SMTP port number for the SMTP-Server defined above<\/p>\n

      From:<\/strong> Your mail address<\/p>\n

      To:\u00a0[smsnumber]@email2sms.lox24.eu<\/strong> (Do not change this mail address, please include the [])<\/em><\/p>\n

      CC:<\/strong>\u00a0(Optional)\u00a0Enter the mail address where you want to get a copy of the mail\/SMS<\/p>\n

      Subject:\u00a0[smsmessage]<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Body line 1:\u00a0ID<\/span>#Password<\/span>#Service<\/span>#From<\/span><\/strong> (You have to enter for ID, Password, Service and From your own data. Please keep # as seperator of the data)<\/em><\/p>\n

      Body line 2-x:<\/strong> empty<\/p>\n

      ID<\/span>:<\/strong> LOX24-Account-Number. Also used for login. Example: 1234
      \nPassword<\/span>:<\/strong> As password you use an API Key v1, which you can create in your web account under Settings and API Settings.
      \nService<\/span>:<\/strong> Service ID\/API-ID of the sms Type you want to use. You can find the ID in your Web-Account, first page, Dashboard. Example: 12345
      \nFrom<\/span>:<\/strong> Sender-ID. Max. 15 numbers or 11 text characters Number Examples:\u00a0+491701234567,01701234567,00491701234567,Text:Abcdefghijk<\/p>\n

        (Optional) To verify settings click Send test…<\/b>. Key in a test recipient Number<\/b> to send SMS<\/span> to and customize the Text<\/b> message.
